Pan that Palette Challenge Final Thoughts

Hey guys,
this time last year I embarked on the challenge of finishing an eye-shadow pallet in one year. I choose the BBB palete by Makeup Revolution. Honestly, I had no hope of actually finishing all 30
shades. And I was right.
Did I succeed in the challenge?
The objective answer is no. However, if you ask me I did better than expected.
Usually I don't wear makeup. I mean, I do, but if it all depends on how I'm feeling.
I learned couple of things doing this challenge. One is that I gravitate towards darker palletes when browsing, but I prefer the lighter shades being on my eyes. Also it turns out I've picked up on some things watching YouTube tutorials (I still suck, don't get me wrong). The most consecutive times I've worn makeup was 15 days. I mastered a 10 minute quick look, which I think looks good in real life, however on camera it still looked like I was with bare face. Another thing which I learned is that sometimes using your fingers is better than a brush, mainly with creamy shimmery shades.
My thoughts on the palete itself didn't really change from my first (and only) post about it. I still think that maybe other Revolution's palettes are better than this one. I liked mostly the shimmers, and some of the matte shades. It should be noted that sometimes the shimmers would look the same once on the eye. My most liked matt shades were: Glimmer, Buffer, Latte, Peachy, Tip Top: and for the shimmers - Golden Coins, Pink Diamond, Flavour, Sunset Hour, Supergold.  There was one which looked gorgeous in the pan called Skylight, dark blue with golden flakes in it, but it was too patchy, and very difficult to work with. The same thing goes for another shade called Lonely Planet. Basically I didn't particularly enjoyed the darker shades of the palette.
As far as the longevity is concerned - the eye-shadow would look decent hours later, but most of the shading would be lost, and everything would look meshed together in one color. In the under eye area you would find glitter specks from the shimmers, and if you don't use some kind of base on the eyes it creases quite a lot, granted this could be an issue for me as I have oily skin.
In the end I want to say that I may not have successfully finished the challenge, but I still feel like I accomplished a lot with it - I wore colors which I never thought I would try on my eyes (green), I became more comfortable on the days when I chose not to wear makeup, and reached the conclusion that no one really cares if you do wear it or not - it's all for you.
P.S. sorry for the crappy photo

Book Review: 24 Girls in 7 Days by Alex Bradley

Hey guys, I think by now, with total two of my book reviews, it's been established that I start my book reviews with a standout quote from the book. Not it this case. Why? Because it f****** sucked. Now you may ask yourselves why did I bother to read it? I read the book in two days, which isn't because it was sooo amazing and I couldn't put it down. It was because it was an extremely easy and quick read. And as I mentioned I've set a reading goal - 50 books in a year. And the best summarization of this book is this: It starts promising and fails miserably. Spoilers The first few chapters were funny and entertaining. The style was also good, and the direction which it was going seemed quite full with potential, but it missed the mark a big time. So, the plot is this as posted on GoodReads:  There are few things sadder than Jack Grammar's love life. So when his friends take it upon themselves to get him a date to the prom by placing an intensel...
