30 Day Challenge Day 5-9

Hey guys, I'm still trying to stick to the challenge but I really think its pointless for me. But maybe it can help other people, so I'll continue to report. Day 5 : Don't complain the whole day This was the most difficult for me. You've probably noticed I can be quite negative. I didn't manage to excel at this but compared to other days I think I did okay. I started complaining in the evening so I count that as a win. Day 6 : Create a space for relaxation My bedroom. But I've already decorated it the way I want (minimalistic) and other than placing a candle on the night stand I didn't really see what else I could do. Day 7 : Turn off all notifications I couldn't really do that because I use Viber for work but I didn't check every little thing. Day 8 : Clear out your make-up collection and/or your skincare collection I got rid of 2 lipsticks. I honestly don't have much. My skincare is growing rapidly as I have a monthly subscription to Kibrit bu...

Filthy Rich Vampires by Geneva Lee Albin

Hey guys, I managed to read a book. Shocking, I know. I was scrolling through some book pages and came across Filthy Rich Vampires. I was in the mood for something light, plot-driven, maybe some sex scenes, just something entertaining to be honest. I actually love stories about vampires. So, when I saw this one I was like JACKPOT. ! I was a little taken aback by the title. I really don't like when people obviously hop on the bandwagon of a popular title/series, etc. GoodReads Summary: Julian Rousseaux has a problem. He’s single, and for the world’s wealthiest vampires, the social season is about to begin. Julian would rather stake himself than participate in the marriage market. But as the eldest, eligible Rousseaux he’s expected to find a wife before the season ends—whether he likes it or not. When cellist Thea literally stumbles into his life at a gala, he knows she's the last person he could ever fall in love with. She's too innocent, too kind, and way too human. But no...

30 Day Challenge Day 2-4

Hey guys, I haven't forgotten to update you on the challenge, however, I've decided that it's better if I combine several days in one post as there isn't anything thaat interesting to report. Day 2: Sort out the sock drawer I've got lots of socks. I mean a lot a lot. But! But! I keep my winter and summer socks in the same place, so in a way, it's normal for my drawer to be overflowing. On top of that my aunt-in-law (can I say that if I'm not married?) loves giving socks as presents, and she is the reason why I've got so many. I haven't bought myself a pair in... maybe never? Or once or twice in my life (before that my mom did that for me). So, I really can't throw away much as they're like new. I got rid of two pairs. I call that a win. Day 3: Gift/donate 3 books Not happening.  In our apartment, I've got one-fourth of all of my books and the others are at my parents' place. I've taken my favorite so I don't feel like gifting...

30 Day Challenge - Day One

Hey guys, it's me again with another challenge. Not like I have a good track record with documenting the previous ones, but let's see how this one goes. I've got a subscription for a skincare box called Кибрит (Matches: like what you use to light candles or a cigarette). The box itself is amazing - you can always find great products. And one of the previous months they had included a set of cards with a 30-day challenge. And the girl who created it is Bulgarian and I think it's great that the box includes local entrepreneurs/ brands. It's about decluttering and scaling down. I don't really think I need help with that, as I regularly clean out things that I don't need. But I have the cards so why not?  So, for each day you've got one card. There's also a code you can scan to watch a video and a place for you to tick after you've completed the task. Most of the tasks are supposed to take no more than 30 minutes. The first one is to clear out your ...

What I've been watching - May

Hey guys, I thought I would do an update about the different TV shows and movies that I've watched in May, as I'm always searching for good recommendations, maybe it would be helpful for someone. However, I didn't want the list to be too long but if I wait until the end of May I think this is exactly what it's going to happen. 1. The TRIAL  Yes, I got sucked into it. Well, I was interested in it before it started, but then I thought okay, it's for six weeks around 8 hours a day, it's almost impossible to keep up. And that's true. I'm still on day 10. But it's so addictive. There is a song about it - go listen to it if you haven't. Like everyone else, I was surprised by some of the revelations that have come to light - mainly about Johnny's childhood. It seems like almost all of the most famous actors had a terrible childhood. I'm glad that the trial is public because I was hesitant to believe Amber back in 2016 and I was hit with "A...

Bridgerton Season 2

Hi guys, today's review is on Bridgerton on Netflix. I doubt that there's anyone who hasn't heard about it. Also, the review may be a little bit chaotic. When the first season came on it looked familiar and as if I knew the story. Turned out it was based on Julia Quinn's book series which I had read when I was around 16. I kinda liked the first season. It was a little bit drawn out and some storylines were unnecessary in my opinion (the prince). I think that if the season was condensed into 5 episodes it would have been ok.  Like a lot of people, I wanted to read the books (again), especially because I had forgotten most of what happened. I still have to go through the last 2 books. And out of all of the ones I read Anthony and Kate's story was my favorite.  I know everyone talks about the chemistry between the two main actors but I didn't like them together. I mean they did a good job, especially Jonathan Bailey, but I just didn't like them as a couple. Th...

Everything and the Moon

Hi everyone, After Bridgerton's disastrous second season I felt like reading a light entertaining romance novel. I still have to finish book 7 and 8 btw, but I'll get to them eventually. So, I picked up another Julia Quinn novel - Everything and the Moon. Summary from GoodReads: Seven years ago she broke his heart... When Robert Kemble stumbles across Victoria Lyndon in hedgerow maze, he can't believe his eyes. The girl who'd torn him in two, who let him plan on elopement and then left him standing by the side of the road, was suddenly within arm's reach, and even though his fury still knew no bounds, she was impossible to resist... Seven years ago he left her all but ruined... Victoria's father had told her an earl would never marry a vicar's daughter, and he was right. Robert had promised her marriage, then danced off to London while she suffered the shame of a foiled elopement. But even though Victoria doesn't particularly enjoy her new life as a gov...

Update

Hi, guys  so the last post was from waaay too long ago. So, here's a quick update: 1. Work I've started transitioning towards a private practice, which has been great and terrifying at the same time. Dealing with accountants is actually the worst aspect of it. I don't know if it's the same everywhere, but in the country where I live it seems like they're all incompetent assholes.  2. Reading For 2021 I've managed to read 37 books. I don't remember half of them. Thank God for GoodReads. I've noticed that my concentration and memory is starting to decline. Argh, it's fine. ...
